WHAT WE DO

Find out how our assessments and products are backed by the latest research and solid science, plus the work our psychologists are doing with universities.

Our work with Universities and Researchers

Our assessments and products are backed by the latest research and solid science. Our psychologists supervise annual research with UK Universities on topics including Leadership, Police Recruitment, Mental Wellbeing and Teams.

It is of vital importance to us that our models, assessments and products are up-to-date with the latest research and science, and that we are collaborating heavily with universities and researchers on a continual basis to ensure that our work remains the best in the field of corporate emotional intelligence.

Our work with universities and researchers means that our suite of assessments, tools and programmes are always improving in line with the latest evidence & continue to be excellent predictors of workplace and job success.

“The last year has shown that change is the only constant in our modern world. We need police officers who not only adapt readily, but also champion change and do this with emotional intelligence. We are looking forward to our research partnership with Police Now and thank EBW Global for providing vital resource.”

Professor Almuth McDowall - Head of Department of Organizational Psychology, Birkbeck University

Supporting the use of EBW assessments in academic research

Academic researchers using the EBW Business EQ tools

We support the use of its psychological instruments in academic research in a variety of ways. We have two versions of the Emotions and Behaviours at Work (EBW) that may be used for research purposes - the Business EQ assessment and Team Assessment.

We consider that there are two types of individuals who may be qualified to administer the EBW assessments:

  1. Those who have completed successfully an EBW Certification.

  2. Those who have obtained a higher-degree in psychology (or related field) and are being supervised by an External Psychologist / Researcher at an academic institution or by one of EBW Global Psychometrician / Psychologists.

We take seriously the formal guidelines related to the use of educational and psychological measures, as specified by various psychological colleges and organisations (e.g. British Psychological Society).

We offer free assessments for MSc and PhD research with the aim of increasing our academic knowledge and continuing to gain more information and insight into the practical real world application of our assessments and solutions.

Please submit an application to discuss using our EBW assessments for academic research purposes & to help us continue our work with researchers.

Research using Business EQ shows volunteering increases mental wellbeing

Research conducted by Philip M Baker, Patty Kostkova and Stephen Walker (EBW Global) for UCL has studied the effect of altruism on wellbeing.

Wellbeing is improved by a short-term humanitarian volunteering experience of up to 6 weeks. The emotional behaviours of motivation, adaptability and decisiveness are associated with wellbeing changes.
